Should have checked this saw out a bit earlier..my apologies to @Whitty21.
Was going to get some photos to send off to Whitty21 as a little eye candy for him. Decided to pull on the saw a few times to get it started up.
Just a quick back story first though....
This was my first big saw purchase. A guy about a half hour away was selling a 288xp, and realistically, went to buy that. Upon arrival, the seller stated he couldn’t get the 288 started, so offered the 2100 in its place. I needed a bigger saw for bucking up some 40” fir, so I purchased it.
Then I purchased a 36” bar and chain, and proceeded to buck up some firewood. Good family friend (basically a father figure) needed a bigger saw for a while, so I let him borrow it for a while. At some point, the auto Oiler hose, behind the muffler melted away. Previous owner used yellow fuel tubing. The saw has pretty well sat since then.
Decided to start it up...started, but was racing uncontrollably. Obvious air leak. Can’t send off a raffle “parts” saw, so I decided I better tear into it.
Wet all the way to the flywheel
