On the 3/4 tons with the Diesel, they make it even more fun by making the bolt coming in from the firewall side to the HVAC case about 1/16" from the turbo downpipe. I used many words on that bolt. I don't recall what they pay under warranty (I'm a GM dealer tech).
So am i, it don't pay more, pays more for a gas burner, have to pull intake. First and only diesel I did, i busted the case then cut the bolt out and sealed up the hole with GMS.

Ahh, so being a GM tech, we both get to take a bite out of the same turd sandwich!
I didn't take any pics, but just did another EGR cooler on a Duramax van body bus. I would very much like to find the guy who decided to stuff that thing into the van body and slap him silly.

And that's just being polite.

Spent most my day cutting out galvanized water lines and replacing with PEX. Not the best crawl space, not the worst

Replacing an evaporator in a 2015 Chevy Tahoe, no fun. Compressor blew up sending metal through the whole system. Had to replace everything in the a/c system, 36 hours worth of Mitchell quote time.

Those were my favorite kind of jobs when I was a Toyota tech. 'Course, they were always under warranty so I was making like $5.00 an hour. I did the same thing to my 1998 Mazda 626 a couple of years ago. Compressor failed and sent junk throughout the system, which the previous owner tried to fix by installing a new compressor and nothing else. I replaced everything except the metal lines, which I flushed like crazy. She's nice and cold now, and 249,000 miles young!

I’m a city arborist in *f-wording Milwaukee and we’re flopping 200+ ash trees between 20” down to 8” dbh.

The bottle neck has been the chipper, of course.

Chipping 20” ash trees is really slow.

We’re not letting them die.

We’re treating all the larger trees and anything that has bad defects or is small diameter is coming down.

EAB is baaaaad.

A lot of the removals I do on this side are toasty ash.
Gross.

This other guy at work had the best line.

“That little green bug is gonna pay for my divorce”

Funniest thing I’ve heard.
