I want to weld this so it doesn’t break off. I have a stick welder. Can I make it work?

TIG or leave it be. If you don't get the amperage right you will blow thru that fin in a split second with stick. And you have to move FAST running an aluminum rod. I haven't run an stick aluminum rod in a LONG time but it deposits fast.

I don’t have a tig ...
But I’m worried it’ll break when I’m cutting firewood.

Is there special rod for it, or any piece of aluminum will work?

You can purchase aluminum sticks at your local welding supply. Clean the joint good. Make sure what you are using has not been used on regular steel so as not to recontaminate the aluminum. Make progress at a fairly good speed. Clean up the spatter that is sure to come when done, to make it look better.
Is about the worst process to use, but you can put stuff back together again with it, especially if asthetics are not important.

SMAW is hot and fast with aluminum. I wouldn't try it unless you have burned a bunch of al rod. Either tig it or leave it alone.

Practice on some scrap aluminum first to get the hang of it. As previously stated it's a one shot deal when you lay the rod to the metal and strike the arc.
