I want to weld this so it doesn’t break off. I have a stick welder. Can I make it work?

Yeah... I'm curious as to the type of aluminum stick welder that will be used.

They make rod for aluminum but I have never tried it on cast before. Fixed a few boat trailers is all I have done with it.
Don't know if you can get it clean enough?

I’ve watched aluminum be stick welded before. It’s smoky and hard to see the puddle. The guy I watched said you have to move fast and it’s much easier to do vertically. I’d practice a bit before attempting and use a heat sink

That's a great point. I have a crack on my phone and it looked like the whole fin was busted off. Lol
