I like the sound. It is kind of unique.

Very cool build.
Almost a little too quiet. Sound is definitely a bit different.

Kind of acts like it wants another deflector on the other side of the muffler. Dual port...

Well you know a guy who makes deflectors. He’d probably give you a good deal

Think I am going to set up my junk jug. Bore it out 2mm and see how it looks.

Lots of 52mmx12mm pin piston options.

Then I can get rid of the ring of death. Get timing numbers dialed in a bit better.

And turn it into 79.8 cc :firedevil:

Can't blame a guy for trying. Lol. Sure is a beauty! Great job! I just came from the saw shop. Took all my strength to not leave with a new one.

I'm sure Stihl and husqvarna get an occasional laugh when they see someone spend so much time and money modifying on a saw when a size upgrade is available. That's not the case with echo or Shindaiwa. Hopefully they get jealous of this and hit the drawing board.

I bet they do laugh a bit. I'm sure yamabiko has something prototyped, as the current offerings above the 590-620 haven't changed much in the last 30 years.

If I can get the 52mm deal worked out. That would almost match the cs800 (largest current us echo) displacement but be 4+lbs lighter... sounds like a challenge lol.

Added a small deflector on the flywheel side.
