I see. So is it a new line for them? I have a 510 and the closets Makita dealer that I know of is 2 hours away from me. So I'm just trying to guesstimate the size.

I thought the spark plug was gonna be buried deep inside when I pulled the cover, but nope sitting right there on top...

Nice new saw! You know your dealer is good when you get a hat! I've bought many new pro saws & never once got a hat. I like the nice big metal plate around the clutch/bar nuts. That new Oregon chain looks nice too. Thankfully these Makita saws are still in a red Dolmar dress, they look schmick! If this model is not officially for sale yet, its pretty cool having one to play with.

I don't remember my MS290 ever running that strong. Looks like a nice option in that class.

Unfortunately it isn't a screwdriver ...

First thing i noticed about that chain is the gullets are nicely hogged out compared to most factory chain...

I really think this saw could really be a HOT ROD!!!!! I feel it’s above average and looking at how it’s built and put together I think there’s a lot of potential in this saw.
I think maybe others are seeing what I’m seeing!!??
