The Saw comes with 20" 3/8" .050 72 dl bar and vanguard [emoji107] chain marked Dolmar [emoji33], an interesting scrench, t27, and a RED screwdriver!

7 pin rim as expected, and a tin cover to protect the plastic housing

Snaps for easy removal of the cover

Filter is pleated and has what appears to be a very good rubber seal.

From looking at the IPL, this Saw is reed strato similar to the 6100. Interesting thing I noticed is the strato flap does not begin opening until mid throttle.

First startup
With Stock vanguard chain
I was going to spend some time cutting with the stock chain, but I have to push to cut, and I'm not about to file those huge rakers...
So here it is with a loop of the new Oregon speedcut chain I was sent to check out
It really loaded the Saw well, almost too much in that large oak. I had to hold it back.

Here it is working as I would normally,
A branch that came down the other day.
This Saw is actually quite peppy! Quick spoolup for limbing
And bucking at the wood pile
With a proper chain... thanks Steve! this Saw is pretty impressive stock. I remember thinking the ms261 was bulky and slow stock, this Saw "feels" better, I wish I still had it to compare to.
I bet this Saw wakes up nicely with some simple mods. But I'm going to get some tanks through it first.

I'm really liking Makitas new styling.
My first impression is this Saw is very large for its displacement. Here it is next to its brother, the EA3601F, and my ms460

Some more to compare with my 460, it is very close in size to it, but much lighter of course.

This won't bother me if it handles well.
Let's get her ready for her first run!

I hope so, otherwise it's just obnoxiously big...
It does turn over pretty easy.
Cool. I agree, the covers are big, but the Easy Start makes them very easy to start. In my opinion the big cover is the main reason it looks so bulky. That and the oversized foot pad.

Cool thread!
Is that a KO-95 bar?
Also, looks like a nice air filter. Everyone seems to be upping their game in the AF department. Good thing too, some of my old stuff is just plain junk...

I'm not up on the bar codes Duane, but I think it's the same as husky large mount.
