I have gotten several boots over the years ,have tried 4 different danners now ,the quarrys made my feet hot, made over seas i think ,the bull run unlined felt like cheap boots ,tried them for summer ,hated them ,got the rain forest ,they had a grey lining and a plastic inset on the heel ,they were ok and stayed waterproof a year but were used up to me in a years time ,now i have the super rain forest ,they are thicker and have red 200 thinsulate lining with removable insoles ,much better boot than standard rain forest ,leather is thicker ,and broke in very fast ,wore them on 90 degree days and feet were less hot even with thinsulate in them than my uninsulated boots ,i usually get a new set before winter every year ,not sure i will have to unless i want deeper vibram treads for mud,i hose my boots off every day ,to clean the souls out ,and have yet to leak water ,i never put any waterproofing grease on them either .
