Agreed. Most my work is in chemical plants so they gotta be toughmy redwings take about a week to break in but the leather is tough as hell.
once broken in they are great.
Give me a minute and I'll look them upDo you remember the name if the Danner boot you bought?
Correct! LolStay away from the overseas danners, the good ones are in the 350 to 400 price range.
I kept buying the 200 dollar range ones 4 pair later i tried the expensive ones ,there is a difference ,have the super rain forest in black now ,wear them every day ,they get hosed off couple times a day ,feet stay dry .Outta my price range
I have no doubt there is a difference I just can't afford that much for boots. Maybe one day
I'm the same on firearms.I hear you Rolltide. Like the old adage says, "You get what you pay for."
Sometimes you pay a little more, but get more out of the boot. I am that way about my firearms. When your life depends on it, I only buy the best. I don't want to depend on a cheap gun misfiring when you need it the most.
No brainer -
Same here. The last 2 pair of Wolverines I had both ripped out in the heel within 6 mo. They are not the quality they used to be.
Back to Red Wings.
I did pick up a new pair of Whites for $100.
