If you write to them and tell them about it, they may make it right for you.

I never had any experience with that boot. But their mainstays, the Arcadia and Ft Lewis boots I can attest too. They are stout and comfortable and last. I bought mine so long ago that I paid less than $200 for. Lol. My Arcadia's lasted 13 years. I wore them every day. Had them resoled once. Best pair of boots I ever wore. I bought a new pair just because I wanted a new pair. Lol

I hear you Rolltide. Like the old adage says, "You get what you pay for."
Sometimes you pay a little more, but get more out of the boot. I am that way about my firearms. When your life depends on it, I only buy the best. I don't want to depend on a cheap gun misfiring when you need it the most.

I have no doubt there is a difference I just can't afford that much for boots. Maybe one day

That's how I feel too. I can manage $200 for a pair of boots, but not for EACH boot. Also, what's MSRP on a set of Whites, Nick's, Wescos, etc? It's in the $450-500 range right? It seems like if you're gonna spend $400 on Danners you might as well go all the way...

wolverine-10083-p_01.jpg

Same here. The last 2 pair of Wolverines I had both ripped out in the heel within 6 mo. They are not the quality they used to be.
Back to Red Wings.

I did pick up a new pair of Whites for $100.

I use to be die hard red wing. The paper mill killed them in less than a year and I switched to wolverine boots. At 130 for a pair they hold up way longer. The last pair I bought 2 years ago a seam in the heel let loose. I emailed wolverine and they had me send in the boots. Cost me around 12 dollars. About 2 weeks later brand new boots arrived at my door free of charge no questions asked. It will be hard to buy anything else after that.
