Nephew finally got brave enough to pull the chebby in the 8000# diesel class last night..

A year’s worth of bragging and or ribbing and the boys can settle it at the track ..
that 40,000# sled will humble bout anything..

How did he do?
He beat a couple, and got beat by a couple..
I had a hard time keeping up with when one class ended another class started last night. The rules for their classes in that association or let’s just say vague.
Ethan was just thinking weight.. but a couple of those trucks in that class were trailered in..
not sure they would be fit to pull a trailer for very long,. Lol..

The track was so sticky, a couple of the 5000# tractors couldn’t get the sled started. Just bucked and spun out.
Levi pulled the 54 JD R in the 8200# class..
Got 2nd..
Didn’t blow it up with the propane he plumbed into the intake.. so that’s good..

Boy does that propane clean up some of the exhaust and flame out the pipe..

Right! That's piss poor! I have only personally owned the tractor for coming on 5 years. I know how to treat a clutch but previous owners, well?

Organic I go!

Good call organic will be best and this one should see you out for years
And not a bad price for everything

Some of the lower budget maple syrup operations around here still use them for storing finished syrup. Not many though, and I believe the bulk buyers will no longer buy syrup in them because of possible lead content.

The reason I ask was I went past a antique / salvage shop and he had a couple for sale
These old milk churns used to be everywhere on the farm they are always perfect for taking out water when the barn and pasture water is frozen

now apparently thes city folk are buying them up
I couldn’t believe the price tag

You just can’t put a price on “trendy”...

Trendy folks will pay stupid money for things we used to discard or scrap...

But hey, some old stuff is just cool if you can decorate something with it... Not my thing, but if some of those folks walked into my shop and saw how many saws were hanging in there, they’d think I was stupid too...

They’d be right too...

When we bought our property, there were a couple dozen or so in the barn.
My wife sold most of them at a craft show. Got $50 a piece for the nice ones. The one in your pic is in better shape than ours were.
I've seen them used to store umbrellas, or by a fireplace.
I still have one in the shop that I keep kindling in. Does that make me trendy?

Seems keeping Kyle on feed an extra month made a difference.. I’ve not seen that much marbling in a filet in a while.

My favorite cut of the beefer.. tenderloin.. I always have them pulled whole and cut them myself.

Beef.....

It’s whats for dinner....

yes. That’s how you do it. Very nice finish on that beef sir. Well done. My last one wasn’t that pretty. It’s good Eatin. But I know what you’ve got there is better
