My late brother in law bought the same saw in 87 i think it was
You would've thought it was a
100 + cc saw the way he acted lol
Bragging on it .
Me and his son were not allowed to touch it the first and only new saw he ever bought.
i had a homelite super xl which i preferred anyway
I need to dig that saw out of my nephews garage and fix it line's and kit has like new compression.

Those blue and red homelites xl and supers took lord knows how many poplar tree's down back in their heyday.
I remember a poplar crews wooden flat bed logger truck with saws powerhead standing straight up the bars cut through the bed all along both side's they just bounced up and down on gravel roads that's how they hauled them to and from jobsites.

I want to say Dad bought the 455 in '86. Mom found the receipt a few years back. I'm sure she still has it somewhere
That would be cool to go with the saw. My pap got me a stihl 009 when I was young. After him and grandma passed I was cleaning out the garage and found the manual and receipt for it. That saw was used to cut a s#^& ton of firewood. Still have the saw and enjoy running it.
