So that lil pile of grindings didn’t amount to jack chit. Piston still weighs 96g.

It's a challenge most people would not be interested in .Take a modified 8BA Ford block and try to make something out of it .It's just an exercise in creativity not much different than say building a 140 cc Husqvarna chainsaw engine with a Stihl 084 connecting rod and a stroked crankshaft with a custom piston .
When you look at something like that anybody who can turn a wrench could build up a hot 350 Chevy but not everybody could or would fiddle with an engine that was last build in 1953 into something .I think it's neat .

Yup. You'd be the, the "Big Dawg" if you can make a flatty run your somone special. I used to watch a rail job slingshot ran deep into the sevens when I was a teenager in the eights. No meth just good ol' alky. Good luck trying to catch him even with modern tec and turbos. Blown Merc block with Edelbrock heads.
