I acquired another C50 recently and have given it the treatment. Runs on prime but there was an issue with the small brass eyelet that forms a seat on the fuel pump check valves (Carter NRD). Like the others, runs on prime.
I found a broken reed when I took the saw apart. I looked through some of what I had on hand and figured I could modify the reed from a McCulloch 33/35/39 saw to fit.
The McCulloch reed is a bit thicker but I figure I can give up a little performance on this saw since it will just be a display piece.
If I make it out properly the case says "THE WRIGHT SAW FOR YOUR JOB - Wright Power Saw and Tool Corp. 292 Longback Ave Stratford CT"
I will eventually do some cleaning on this one and see if my compressor can run it for a bit. Interesting to note the blade sets are two piece and (evidently) move in opposition to one another.
I have watched many a bull and cow get split and quartered with one.
Some may ask why not a steer.......that is simple. If they are a steer that means they went through the chute, got an attitude adjustment, and sent on down the line.
