Here's an email I received in January this year from a member while he was waiting for his confirmation email. I guess it took to long to get to him. I looked him up and he's still never made one post.
I have never seen anything like this before. I wonder if it was jus @Mastermind messing with me.
"Perhaps your system is broken down, or slow, or I'm a reject because I (for some ungodly reason) live in Iowa, but I've been trying to get the confirmation email so I can post.
Reminds me of Wal-mart. Let me tell you this little experience: Besides my endeavors in the logging/milling/woodworking arena, I also run a technology service company. One afternoon, back in 2013, my laptop computer experienced an issue that I didn't have time to correct as I needed to be on a job site in short order. So, quick like a bunny I jumped on Walmart.com and ordered a laptop for in store pick-up. Now, I live about 45 minutes from this Walmart (or anything else for that matter). I gave it an hour before I lit out to pick it up. When I arrived at the store, not only had they not pulled it from inventory, they didn't even have the order in yet through their "less than quality" system. I had the order number, confirmation and payment receipt. Keep in mind, this is 2 hours later, and they STILL didn't even have the order, let alone walk the 30 feet over to the case and pull it out for me. The manager tried to make up all kinds of excuses to the point I had to interrupt him and tell him flat out that customers don't care for excuses, we want action. I actually asked him for access to a pc so I could cancel the order, which he granted. Having cancelled the order, I went over to the case and picked up my laptop. Took a whole 2 minutes at that point.
Still looking for that confirmation email. Perhaps you send it to the Andromeda Galaxy before returning to Earth? That would explain the incredible latency?"
