Scott, just a little tip I picked up from a build thread on here. If you pull the cylinder off of the saw it's easier to see into the cylinder. Feel free to use that in your own shop in the future.

I just started grinding on cylinders and f ' ed up my first one last week. These kinda threads help me alot
thats what spares are for lol

Yeah Dallas has spares just not for practicing on he only has Stihl.
Start on huskies then work your way up to Mini-Mac's.
After you master all others then you can work on the best. Stihl!!

we all start some where, I wasted lots of parts learning. I learn more from what doesn't work then what does.
Thank you Scott. I learned to take it slow and watch everything that's happening when I'm grinding. Luckily it was only a MS250 cylinder
