For my next project, I am going to try something like this.
The back on mine will not be fancy. I dont have the skillz..
I got one of these jobs for making the bottom and back.
Of course its meant to go on a 2x4. Cept a 2x4 aint 2x4..so, I might fab a shim. Plus, zero instructions. Not sure if it bolts to the bar from the bottom or top, or if the longer end should be behind or in front of saw...
I bolted it on from the bottom and gave it a whirl on a piece of crooked oak I had.
It's not perfect, but the bar on that saw is crap and it was a first attempt. I think even with results like I got, a bit of time with a belt sander and it would be fine.
