Wednesday I have a meeting with Hayward to discuss reorder numbers on the Tsumura bars and to add a few bars from my wish list if i think they will realistically sell in large enough numbers to be worth it. Lets hear it, what do you wanna see? Anything that isn't on my list feel free to add it and I'll tally it up and add em to my wish list for Hayward to ponder on.

I wish someone would build (maybe they do but I can't seem to locate one) a Stihl 18" 3003 (d025) .325 .050 72. I'd love one to put on my MOFO 026, so I could run the same chain on my 346, 421 and the Stihl.

I might the the only one

I wish the price on the Tsumura bars went down with the weight so the L&T bars were cheaper than the solid RSN bars. I'd take a bunch of bars in any 3/8 0.058 sizes.

Is it too "PSP'er" of me to want a light weight 16 or 18" 3/8th .050 is Stihl mount? Or does it exist even in .325 .050 I might be willing to go that way too...

P.S. just because I want to show it off, have you seen this yet?

I talked to them today and found out that after all the pre orders were filled that they would only have 10 24" bars left in stock so I told em to just add those to my existing order.... Gotta make sure my buddy is covered

What do ya wanna see

Are they offering any of the 3002 mounts again?
None are ordered and none were even talked about to order but those are definitely worth discussing with them.... Not a very big selection of those bars available except from stihl or Canon. What lengths/configurations are you thinking

36/37" since they've already made that one. 30" would be ok too.
I don't remember, have you looked in the current tsumura catalog to see if they are still listed? I'll ask and see what they think about em. I get asked on a pretty regular basis about 3002 bars but never kept track of the lengths/specs people were interested in

I haven't. I had bought 2 from Dave years ago when I had the 84 and 88. Now I've got 3 of them again

My vote is for 42" or even longer bars for guys with chainsaw mills. The Cannons are expensive, and if a guy could save weight on his milling rig, that would be great - especially if he was packing it into the bush.

I'm also interested in the 14mm large Stihl mount - the saws that run this mount are generally heavy, and saving some weight is attractive.

Sounds tempting.
Need to talk to a couple of my buddies and see what and how many they want on top of what I am thinking about getting.

I understand completely but do have a question

Reduced weight bars are generally a little more flimsy, how does that effect milling? Do you end up with a dash in the middle?

Never ran anything longer than a 32 and virtually no milling experience so I'm curious

I know @Shawn Curry mills a good ammount and has favorable experiences with longer light/tough bars on a 661.

Seems that Mike is pleased as well.

I am sure at some point, say 50 or 60 inches, the light bars additional bow may become a factor.

Even if you couldn't get anything longer than 36" in light versions, a standard Tsumura in longer lengths, and large stihl mount, and double ended would be attractive competition against Cannon.
