I tell ya guys I have still been cutting some in this heat, but I don't like it.... Around 40 degrees is about perfect.... But I have a garden and plenty to do around the house, so I do like summer.... I just like running my saws and cutting when I can wear jeans and a sweatshirt and be comparable!!!!

I'm happy tomorrow the high is 80 at 40% humidity, warmer than I prefer but manageable. Friday it was 85+ and much higher humidity, went through a gallon of water in 6 hours. Two more days of cutting them back to the real job, 70 all day inside.

I gotta get my firewood cut then I'll be ready for fall. It's not always a picnic cutting in June and July but it doesn't mess with my hunting that way. Dad always waited until it was 40 below and knee deep snow to cut wood. Now that sucks!

The 2016/17 wood supply is already in, I need to get going on 2017/18 just to keep a few wood suppliers happy.

Split a load tonight, not bad at 70 degrees but the mosquitoes came out around 9:00 and made it impossible to go on.

I for one am ready, hotter than 9 kinds of hell here. Working in energized manholes wearing a nomex suit over my clothes hot gloves it's a 115 degrees and the mountains are on fire, it was a rough day.
At least I'm not a fireman. Yeah ready for fall bring it!

I loaded up the saws and hooked up the splitter this past weekend. Stopped at a gas station and a guys asks.. are you going to cut firewood this time of year?? I say yep, I do it this time every year. I'd rather cut it ahead of time then run out and be cutting in balls deep snow. Plus you can cut at your own pace. I'm also working on 2017 /18 wood pile.
