I really haven't had any issues with mine. I bought a dozen of each a while back.
Luck of the draw I guess.

I may have always had the bad batch of oregon files too but its just weird that a few of us all had the same experience with them.

I wonder if the files in dozen packs are intended for professionals/enthusiasts and the files in twin packs are intended for the typical BIG BOX store customer

Maybe they are totally different quality to begin with...

What?

Thats not a tin foil hat...

My head is just shiny...

I doubt they make different files for 2 pack or dozen. Maybe I just got lucky?

Honestly its probably more like 2 stroke oil than anything else

The way you choose to hold the file, the amount of pressure you use, guide or no guide, clean the file religiously with a file card every few strokes or not...

All those things conspire to make one brand of file (or one brand of oil) work the best FOR YOU!!!

And in the end that's all that matters

Pretty much. But this isnt an oil thread because we have gone two pages with no one butt hurt and i doubt we'll make 700 pages.

The only thing Oregon files are good for are to open the foil on a 2stroke oil can.

HAHAHAHA

I’ve used save edge in the past and was very pleased in the beginning. But they seemed to dull rather fast. I’m gonna go with pferd next.

I could see maybe an A and B line durning the QC process.
