My 9 pin requires my longer play chain. I wasn't using that for skidded firewood. She wore semi that day with an 8 pin

I found my moose racing tach however I have lost the friggen wire.

Does anybody know what kind of gauge of wire these or other tachs this style use?

I was keeping track of fuel usage to compare to board feet milled. I did it with the 084, 088, 390, 046, and 395. 088 was the most fuel efficient in that category.

Hard to believe a Ported 88 was best. 390 was the worst. 2 tanks per 9' long cut. Literally run out of fuel and dumped from other saws to it to finish. 2.5 gallons were gone in 2 hours counting setting up.

Its like 16 or 18 gauge stranded.
Just needs to be snug in the hole

It might for a while ............ solid tends to fracture/fatigue/break, vibrations will kill it

I was not refering to a soild piece I was talking about regular wire. Like wires for automotive/agriculture use.

Many strands vs 1 solid piece. I have access to plenty of wire that have strands lol.


I hate being a tard at wiring descriptions.

Well i kno a ported 288 or 390 aint fuel miserly.
Had a small block ford w/a 750 holly spreadbore on it that drank less gas than those 2 saws.

None are that fuel efficient compared to a bandmill.

You want fuel efficient, run a 090 full tilt for 10 mins and that`s a big tank to refill!
