I bought 3 loops of C-83 for a 24" bar and was using it periodically throughout the summer. I think its on par with the other top chain manufacturers out there.
I have absolutely no proof of this but a loop of it of equal length in lgx ,the X cut feels alot lighter. I didn't get any excessive stretch either.

Is it as fast or faster than your hand filed?

…even dropping the rakers?
Strictly speaking of "out of the box ", I'm hesitant to start making changes till I use it a few times.
I have been looking for a way to recreate the very steep under cut on the top plate .

Thank you Sir, but I hand file only.
Some people are good with a hand file . I am not . I have two grinders . The grinders are nice because you can dress the wheel to any profile you want .

Yeah grinders are great for a large number of chains or employees.
I like hand filing and find it relaxing, just in the last 5 years I've probably spent hundreds of hours filling chains.
Funny enough my knife sharpening skills could use some work.
