I said it a long time ago, and I'll say it again. Saw preference is likely reflected by what you have to cut the most, and your size.

If you have to buck a lot of large hardwoods you will likely prefer larger saws, if you cut a lot of smaller stuff, there is no need to haul the excess weight around.

Right on! :)

I buck oak firewood logs delivered into my back yard - I prefer a big saw! :b1:

People say I'm nuts for liking large firewood logs!

These same people also say I'm not quite right in my head for considering bucking firewood fun!

I can live with that. :D
I enjoy bucking and splitting!! Lol. Did find my match with some myrtle though...that stuff is brutal to split by hand.

Weakling... my avatar saw is even bigger... McCulloch 250 with a 32" hardnose bar. (not in cc, but in how manly you have to be to lift it, if you want to get in a pissing match about that)

Just wait until I get my 790 back online... ported and it has so much compression and timing advance that I've broken the recoil assembly twice. And a few pull ropes. No decomp like your sissy creamsickle.

Plus if you really want to get in a pissing match, I bet RandyMac has hauled much bigger saws into the PNW woods to cut some unGodly huge trees back in his prime. Few men today are as much as a man as he was then. And he wasn't the man like those that used axes and crosscut/bucking hand saws way back when. We are all sissies compared to them.

So to put things in perspective, you're a sissy.

That's Cute, but who hauled those out in the woods & started them for you?

Me to the older I get the softer I get a the smarter I become.
You young tough men will get wore out like a lot of us have.
Hard work and heavy saws will take a toll on you, enjoy it while you can.
I have started to slow down. Bad shoulder now is going to need surgery .
By the way I never was or will be the man my Grandaddy was.
I guess I'm just a big sissy now, and smart enough to know it.

Ill bet you aren't a puss..you just don't have small dick syndrome.

Could i sling a 90cc saw all day ?..no problem.

Would i if i didn't have to ?..no...i didn't get stuffed in my locker...i have nothing to prove.

Hobby cutters don't have to worry about it..when you gotta do it everyday it creates a new perspective.

You sir, are a man. You admitted to not being one like your granddad. It takes balls to admit that.

BTW, no one else starts my saws. My dad had an incident and my mom says he can no longer play with saws. Trying to start the 372 and the bar kicked into his leg. Yeah, hit his shin and it spurted blood. Nice gash from that sharp chain. Yeah, had to go to the clinic for that to get stitched up
