Notice how slick the NK goes through the smaller log in the vidja. Just the opposite is true with regular .325", though is probably the most versatile of the two when bucking is added to the mix.

That's a real nice runner. If you don't mind I would love to see a pic of the muffler action .


Screw that request, I want to see that sawmill trailer in action!

This response is exactly where I shake out. I've got two 50cc saws (jons 2150 and dolmar 5105)one has a 16 in .325 and the other a 16in 3/8. The .325 is my fence row clearing, limbing, small stuff saw and the 3/8 more for bucking and general cutting. The 3/8 has always cut faster for me in all my testing, but it's nice to have one set up for the small limbs and branches.
For limbing and small stuff I really prefer .325. It's smoother and much less grabby. A 346 can run either pitch with no problem, so I think the application should determine the chain you're using. Bucking firewood, sure, run 3/8, but limbing and thinning in the woods, .325 is much more user friendly.
