Yeah but plugs ain't supposed to do that. What brand of plug? I only use NGK

It was a Champion. Which is odd since I have a whole handful of brand new NGKs and typically stick with NGK.

My PS-7300 came with a Champion plug and it fell apart without warning, to my luck the top came off.

I'm sticking with NGK BPMR7A.
I have the factory original one in my PS-6400 which is in use since 2006.
I also like that they still claim made in Japan, at least the two spares I bought recently do.

That's really bad the plug ruining Your saw!

Worst part is its not my saw! Its a Jonsered 2065 I converted to a ported and polished (to the best of my abilities) 372 top end and 372 carb/intake.

038m turned out ok...
Need some smalls (fuel line, tank vent, metal ring for carb boot, air filter and such) to finish it off and run it.

Have had 2 NGK plus fail me, one the porcelain came loose on the inside, the other went dead on my ATV 5 miles in the bush.
I am working on a 1983 XL600 no charge no spark,, got to test yet but think the stator is toast. Seems common.

Muffler and brake flag arrived today from Willhelm, thanks again buddy! Got to get to modding the muffler and flow matching the exhaust port.

Your eye must not be properly calibrated; that’s 0.020-0.025 under the crank face.

Lol they are pretty strong runners. How does the piston look?
