I believe the only saw that was faster than Mason's ported 395 in his timed video cuts was Jeff's (Ahem) ported 660!

But your welcome to run the stop watch yourself if you think I may be wrong!
And I'm sure they weren't using the same chain, sprocket or anything else. Sorry Mike but a 660 won't hold a candle to a 395 it's just a fact.

My 660 was really hustling for sure. Different bars and chains, but Mason and I just run round file work chain. We both had 3/8 8 pins. I had 20" bar, Mason had 24" bar I believe.
It was officially unofficial. LOL
But still a fun little test.
Mason really wanted his 395 to win though, I guarantee you that! LMAO

I've seen a few very strong 660 and 661s out there. I just don't run across many 395s.

I don't know where they were hiding at last year's CT GTG, but other than Lee's big bore, TM's 661 won the long bar competition.

I believe at the CT GTG, a ported 064 or 660 was right on the 661s heels.
Nevermind Mike I know your a stihl guy and won't ever see it. I promise it would take one special 660 to beat a normal woods ported 395. Ask the guys that build them they will tell you the same.

I know, I have heard it, but for whatever reason (and I'm not being a smart ass or disagreeing with you) I just have not seen it at the events I've been at.

I have heard Stihl guys who get one praise them, so I don't doubt what you stated at all.

And Mason's 395 is very strong, and that 660 may have caught some good wood, but it did not seem to me like one would blow out the other, but I could be wrong.

Maybe one day we'll be at the same gtg and we can compare in person instead of this silly *s-word on here. Come to the PA gtg June 2nd.
