Base cuts and geometry last night. The depth micrometer measures actually do work.

Found that 044 cases are .003 tighter than my 046 Case. And my 046 builder case is .003 tighter than most others. Go figure.

Doin my hybrid R&D.

If anyone cares, the base to band depth on an 046/460 Jug with a factory .017 gasket and a meteor piston yielding .017 squish is:

2.832 inch

So if you get a jug that’s been hacked up by someone else, this depth with a depth mic will get you close enough to make the adjustments needed.

Muffler modded and advanced the timing on the 201tc. It definitely feels better. I just made a few test cuts and ran it for a few minutes.

I do 201tc's for a couple local tree guys. They won't take them stock. Every one I do idles funny coming out of the cut. I only make 3 or 4 cuts before I ship em...I've never heard if they smooth out over time. I guess I should ask.
