Off the bench and on the floor now. I've got a ton of top handles to fix/rebuild for the upcoming olive season.

All these are getting test drives on Friday.

My great uncle's Echo GT-225 that he couldn't get started and that is leaking fuel from the fuel line grommet in the tank. Verified compression/good piston and cylinder and ignition. Squirted some mix down the carb and she fired. Ordered a new carb and grommet. It's also getting new fuel lines/filter and a spark plug. KIMG2250.JPG

Scrap yard MS441, AFM big bore kit ( till I have the oem spark plug hole and exhaust mounts welded) .
Definitely required massage of the sides to fit the case and the bottom ports needed opened up. They basically enlarged the bore 2mm and everything else grew out of proportion.
Gasket delete .020 on the squish.

This massive beast. New oil pump rubber ring and plug. Popped on mix. Good to go ahead with fuel system overhaul and recoil rope replacement now.

That looks like more than a 3 natty light job. I hope that was just the ones that didn't get cleaned up as you were going.
7:30-5:30. I must have walked 5 miles in my basement. My feet were killin' me. Walked upstairs to the fridge and grabbed three. I wanted to sit still and enjoy the clean shop.

I'll do that - get the shop cleaned and sit there and enjoy it for a while...but it only lasts about a day or so, then it's right back to chaos.

Took me 12 minutes this afternoon to disassemble a 372xp OE for porting changes. Not sure I can do any other saw as fast other than maybe a 044/046 or 390xp which is just a big bore 372. The newer strato type saws sure take a lot more time to do than these older ones that’s for sure. View attachment 259475
462 just about falls apart. Under 4 minutes.
