I've be teaching her about taxes and how its dedicated out of my paycheck and I don't really have a choice about it. So sometime I make her figure out how much she owns the IRS "mom"

Could be, but it really looks like it should have been running. The piston is fine other than a little wear on the intake side. Nothing I wouldn't expect on a saw of that age.Maybe someone did a pressure/vacuum test on it? I have a hose I can test through the spark plug if needed.
