Morning smokers of meat. I’m venturing into something new to me with a friend. I need to get some eggs scrambled and froze. Thursday we will be making some brats and eggs are just one of the ingredients needed for this adventure. Pictures will follow later this week.

I have a 3lb sirloin tip roast rubbed with salt, pepper, and garlic powder that I'll be smoking today.

Hey guys, I’m going to be lazy and just ask this without reading the whole thread which I see started in 2016 so maybe things have changed but what is a good bbq that’s not super expensive and won’t poison my family with toxic crap. And let it be known I am not a good cook and a real bbq’er would probably vote to have me tarred and feathered if they watched me cooking, total indifferent hack. Just becoming aware of all the toxic cookWare out there and our junky old el cheapo bbq has finally wore out . What do you knowledgeable folks recommend?

Get a pellet smoker. I have a pit boss that is fantastic.

Thanks, I’ll look at the pit boss. And then I’ll be able to ask semi informed questions about pellets!

Ok that thing looks pretty nice. Do you ever have problems with the pellets clogging? Girlfriend said she had a pellet bbq 20 years ago and had thst problem. I’m guessing the technology has progressed a lot since then and it’s not an issue now?

Got some jerky going today with maple sugar instead of regular sugar. The maple sugar I picked up from a member here had been a huge hit at home. I need to get this cheese done as well. If I run out of time today I’ll get the cheese tomorrow.

New rib recipe in my pit boss smoker. Rub, sit overnight. Smoke 2 hours at 250. Transfer to aluminum boats with butter and honey covered tightly. 2 more hours on 250. Out of the boats, back on the smoker, cover with bbq sauce. Another hour at 250.
