So yesterday I spent some time filing the edges and sanding down a little surface rust on one of the bars that came with my 036Pro and have it looking real nice. Used the Valspar Ford Gray. I was excited because it's a 20" and I thought I had chains for it already.

I could see that the Stihl number was was pretty faint and after painting noticed that it had 6821 stamped on the tail. I'm guessing that I have a 3003 000 6821. So sadly it is .325 .063. I'm sure it would cut well, but I want to run 3/8" .050.

And yes the rim sprocket I took off the saw was 3/8. No chain was included when I picked it up.

Another useless bar

I have some 20" 3/8 .050 Stihl bars if interested.

Mostly 18. But not a huge difference between that and a 20. 20 is for 70cc.
The 385 would get a 24. Maybe a 20. With 8 pin.

I'm almost always cutting hardwood, sometimes tuff stuff like Hickory, White Oak and Chestnut Oak. My 60 cc saws wear 20" bars, as do my 70 cc saws. I put the 24, 28 and 36 inch bars on my 77cc and 92 cc saws, since I have plenty of them (about 1/2 dozen of each).

They pull the longer bars with much more authority.
