I have not seen amsoil locally. I wonder if any close I could try?
Any autoparts store that sells amsoil products can order it in for you. I love the saber at 50.1 in My too handle saw and works well in my other saws too my oh34 av super went long and hard on a locust tree. 4 tanks back to back wfo no mercy and no changes in performance.

Just for the record, I ran Stihl orange bottle 2 stroke oil in my 029 at 50:1 for about 20 years. I ran and pushed the saw way harder than it should have been run. The piston still looks shiny and new. A few years ago I switched to Stihl XP silver bottle. I ran 50:1 and 40:1. The XP seems to run a little cleaner and is biodegradable. Less oily smell in clothes. In fact I ran same mix in all my OPE and never had an engine failure.
Now, since I have been here and over at the other joint, you guys got me runnin raggid trying out all these exotic oils, costing me money. Lol

Dont take the bait...i did.

Your saw will outlast you if its used for occasional firewood with any decent oil..given you take proper care of it.

Fact.

Being an fb rated oil, it probably lacks the detergents that fc and fd oils have
It lacks detergents completely..it's ashless and uses dispersent technology, which is why it sucks in air cooled two cycles just like boat oil does.
Ultra was a band aid to fix lubrication issues with Stihl's poorly designed four mix engines.

13$ a quart?
Its $18 dollars for just under a quart locally. Double the price of 2R and even more expensive than Citgo Air Cooled. No thanks..
The other thing against it is I do not like to run ester oils in OPE. Not that I havent, but the more I see, the more I prefer a PIB/mineral blend.

Well that got that wrong definetely! That crap is a mess in a 4 mix valve system and being the reason they sell their own decarbonizer.

Red armor in my weedeater eater and 421 start leaving a bit of a mess at the exhaust running at 42.5:1 the 6100 on the other hand is clean as any I have seen. Dolmar synthetic however runs really clean at the 42.5 :1
on a side note I am thinking about ordering some amsoil. Would amsoil be good to run in our new Honda Odyssey?

I still like the stuff even if it is Castor. lol Crank was well lubed I assume.

Almost out of Hp2 Any suggestions what I should try next? Orginal Techniplate at 32:1? Mobil 1? Ipone? or MOtul Road racing at 40:1?
Everything was wet. I like original just fine. Amsoil Saber seems pretty good too.
