Anybody ever try a Ruger Max 9? We have them at the shop and I like the looks of it. For my taste, it strikes the perfect balance of size and weight for a CCW 9mm. The trigger pull is pretty good and the design seems solid. The factory sights are nice too.
Heard good things from a couple friends that bought them
I haven't tried one yet.

Thanks. We also have the Shield Plus here, it is a nice piece. I just like the Max better, it reminds me of a slimmer version of the SR9c I used to have. If it likes my pet load of 3.8 grains HP-38 under an Arsenal Molds 130 grain RNFP then it will be a winner.

19's are my favorite 9mm pistol after the Browning Hi-Power. My well worn gen.4 guards our bedside.

Looking at the s&w shield plus today
They have a 50.00 discount now

Been thinking about one as well. I’m in NY so it’s 10 round mags here. Can’t decide if it’s worth buying one for 2 more rounds than my current Shield.

Gotta buy less important things like car parts right now, but I went ahead and put a Max-9 in layaway jail. Hopefully can get it out soon.

I thought that in DPRNY you were only allowed to put 7 rounds in a mag, so the Shield Plus wouldn't offer any (legal) advantage.

I haven't bought one yet but in dry firing
The plus has a much better trigger pull than the shields I've shot before
And the grip fits my hand better.
To each his own
I might just end up with a Taurus toro gx4
The regular one impressed me so much I bought a second.

Anyone looking at the shield plus, get the bug out bag bundle, 13593. I believe the $50 rebate is good for it also.

The 365 is a nice pistol for sure, probably my second choice right now. Looking forward to seeing the new .380 version.

I am looking to replace my old EDC LC9 with either a sig 365 or a hellcat. Really trying to tell myself not to buy both and see which one i like the best.

We have both of them at my side job shop and I like the 365 myself. But yeah, getting both is always the best choice!

I ended up getting a Bersa Thunder .380 instead of the Max-9. It's a proven design and helluva bargain. Mine shoots really good, certainly better than I can hold. My one gripe about it, which is still pretty minor, is the single action trigger pull is creepy and has a fair amount of travel. It doesn't have any stacking or a wall before it breaks. I wouldn't say it's bad, but I'm not used to it and my shaky hands like to pull it off target. Still, I can shoot it about as good as my Glock 42 and Kimber Micro.

I have both and if i had to choose just one it would be the 365xl. Check out the new Hellcat Pro too, it more comparable to the size of the 365xl.

5.jpg Federal. 327 Magnum

I'm still musing or studying on this lil rascal.
Shoots 4 different rounds & has some super specs/performance in a 6 shot shot small pkg...even more so in a longer barrel!
