I think I would trust the oem used crank and give it a shot, if it grenades then you just have a reason to do a hybrid, win win Tom

The bearing is smooth, no play and rotates freely. I think its going to be alright. Now you got me thinkng Dustin!! Lol. Thats a bad thing, let me tell you!! Lol

The crank doesnt have any pitting either which is real good.

I wouldn't expect it to be pitted, the mag protected the steel.

That was impressive.
One problem I saw from your previous pics- the rust where the clutch bearing rides- might be conducive to eating said bearings. Maybe it'll be fine if its greased more often?

Yeah, I think so. It cleaned up better than I thought. I used simple green 1/2 and 1/2 and Put it on the highest heat setting I could.
