What is best after market p/c for 028 super??

Need a top end on an 028 super, what is a good after market product???


OEM is 250 or more bucks!!!

They may be? IDK if they even make one. They for sure make pistons...

I used a Hyway kit with Caber rings in a budget 028 I put together. It was an old 42mm saw.
Squish was a bit high with a gasket and too low without, so I just put the gasket in.
I only have 3 tanks through it, but I can't say I can really tell the difference between it and my O.E. 028 super.

Yup. That's the one I used. Stihl clips and bearings.
It was a pretty clean saw overall other than the boogered piston, so I figured why not give it a shot and see if I can put it back into service.

I've always had good luck with hyway. One of the best 044's I built had a hyway cykinder on it. Mean little thing!!

Trying to figure out if mine is an anomaly.

This is OEM, can’t find the Hyway right now, but all is excellent exc for an offset intake port.

Has anyone seen the Tecomec P&C sets recently, they were of the best quality I ever came across in the AM sets. I used a good many of them during the later 80`s all through the 90`s but they seem to have become scarce recently with just a few pistons showing occasionally.

The Tecomec 365 cylinders that HLS has are decent so far
