Another Facebook find...this MS 361 he wants $325; says it runs well. Not located around here but I have some family very close to there I'm sure would pick it up. Don't really need the saw but have heard nothing but good things about this model so tempted to add it to the collection! What do you think?

That recoil looks aftermarket to me, and it could have a bunch of other AM parts in it.

Okay thanks for noticing - I asked the dude if it was still available and he said yes, then I asked for a couple of more pictures (that was the only one provided on the ad) and he ignored me so I am guessing the saw is pretty beat up. I'll pass on this one.

Try to find one that looks like the 026 did. I usually figure if it’s still got the sticker on the front of the case it’s a pretty low hour unit.
Used/ rebuilt is ok as long as you know who owned/ rebuilt i

More often than not, holding off on a purchase when in doubt is your best option. I was bidding on a nice MS-260 and it went past my self-imposed limit. My finger was on the button to increase my bid, but for once in my life restraint won the day and I let someone else have it. As it turned out, that was the right move because soon after I got a 2022 Echo CS-501P for alot less money. Like, under half the cost of a new one. If I had bought the older and higher priced MS-260 I wouldn't have been able to snipe a much better deal right under my nose.
