Not trying to derail this thread but I use a ratio rite and stihl oil as well mixed to 32:1. If I read this right, by using more oil I could be causing damage?

No....hell no.

It might run a wee bit leaner than 50:1. But only a tiny difference. Unless your saw is tuned lean as hell, and you just switched from 50:1 without retuning......you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

Now.....Stihl Ultra at 32:1? I would rather see that oil ran at 50:1.

That's what I run in stock Stihl saws tuned to factory specs. Everything good 10 years so far. Will report back if something blows up. Wouldn't mind 'cause I could use a new saw...

No sense trying to tell anyone else what they should use. Carry on.

Yeah I agree. The point of this thread has nothing to do with the oil brand itself anyway. Not looking to turn this into an 1,000 page oil thread with constant *b-wording lol.

It depends on how it is tuned. It would be interesting to see how long an engine would last tuned very lean, but with large amounts of oil.

Don't get to run saws that much and run them real close to not 4 stroking so do a gallon jug and a time and dump in the fuel can. Ya - probably OCD...
