It has next to no fuel or oil resistance, the paint will dissolve and peel very quickly. Only paint I have seen hold up on saws is automotive 2 or 3 part systems, expensive and harder to work with but worth it. Of course powder coat is the best.

Do you know by any way which powder is best to use to coat it? and inside of crankcase also.

There is a member on here that could answer your question much better, @Glock37
Lets see if he can chime in.
He might not be present, or doesnt want to share his secret  hehe
Im looking at polyester, or silicon based-high temperature ( but is it really needed 300+C°), cant decide :nusenuse::confundio1:

I'd like to repaint this crankcase, as it looks really bad :/ , also there are few peel-offs inside of the crankcase and i dont want it to peel of and ruin the cylidner/piston completely.
As we are only 5000miles apart, i cant bring it to you
I want to try it myself, or even if i find someone who does powder coating here, i must tell which powder to use firstly.
And that is what im interested in the most, which powder should i use, epoxy or epoxy-polyester or ... some other type.

How much of play can bearings have?
I took it apart and engine only needs new oil seals, bearings are completely smooth, have a bit twist and side to side play, but no up and down.
Have to fix crankshaft threads, and repaint it and hone cylinder a bit.
And maybe 30-40$ in cosmetics and it should run well.
But JESUS, that flywheel was stuck as f*ck, was literally shaking while tightening flywheel puller with two 10 inch wrenches.

Could anyone tell me how much clearance is "-okay" for 064/066 cylinder, lets say when pressed one side to the cylinder walls, how much clearance should be on the other side between piston and cylinder?
