I got lucky although there is a used one on ebay now,for a 12 mm 044 the zama c3 should be fine.i have a hd8 old schooll 046 im hangin onto

Thanks JJ but I have a Zama on both of the 044's. The one on the 10mm runs a little funny. That saw came to me not running and it was the carb, I cleaned it the best I could and put a kit in it so it runs, but it could run better. I planned on swapping the Zama from the 12mm to the 10mm and putting an HD on the 12mm. Dave says the HD50's will probably be the next best but I thought I would see if there was an HD11 floating around.

Theres a hd8 8 in 044 section on ebay wich was early 046 dont miss this one.hd8 is earlier than hd11. Good carbs

Looks like it has been around the block and is listed as spares or repairs, don't think I can afford to buy and ship it here only to discover a kit and cleaning doesn't fix it. Thanks for looking out though.

Thats way guys posting it cuz its used. Hd8 is probably 25 year old carb.they were on the. Very early 046s I allways put kit in used carb before mounting it cuz if it dont work i dont wanna pull it off again to rebuild it when it should be rebuilt before putting on the saw imo , . lol thats 2 carbs ive tried to help you on good luck on your hunt. I got my hd11s and my hd8s i dont need any.got a spare in the box.

Hey Cracker, I don't remember asking for your help in looking up carbs on Ebay. Glad you got yours, I am in no hurry. The Zama I have on my 044 works well enough. An HD-11 is what I am looking for not an HD-8 anyways so if you think this carb is so great you should probably pick it up for your box and stop concerning yourself with my ad.

Just tried to help . i dont need it i have one. As well as 2 hd11s. Cant telll the diff. 2 3 months ago i posted an hd11 that was ebay trying to help you, that one someone else got i know for a fact . I havnt got ugly with you eitheer.i Said good luck on your hunt. And i was trying to also let you know an hd8 was also a good carb and was on early 046s as well. They work very well on 1128 builds Series saws and work jus as well Sorry that i tried offering you assistance and to help you. It wont happen again. Best of luck to you on your search thanx.
