You had about the best weather possible Saturday. Not many last Saturdays in March like that one was. I spent the day 2 hours south of there picking up saws.

Day was great but the drive home not so much, had about every weather possible on way home. Started to rain just north of marks, was pouring so hard in the cities you couldn’t do more than 50-60 on the interstate. Well should rephrase that people were still trying to go 80 but hydroplaning on puddles and not able to see the road. Then from hinkley to cloquet was a greasy snowy mess with black ice in spots. Last hour from cloquet home was the nicest part of the drive.

I went after some low hanging fruit today in an effort to start putting things back in order.



The Jonsereds oil cans (thanks again Lehman Live Edge Slabber) They will get moved up into the display tomorrow.



The saw stand came from 54stude, I found a knob for the upper swivel and made a few modifications so it would work with the existing piece.



I think there will be plenty to keep me busy in the coming weeks getting the Stihl saws cleaned up for the display and finding a home for the Jonsereds parts saws up in the attic.

And then there are all those two boxes of small parts from Happy Saws under the table...

Thanks to many generous donations from Lehman Live Edge Slabber last weekend my Stihl display models have taken a big leap forward. As I am processing these getting them ready I find I am in need of:

1) starter guts for an 040, this is all I have

2) Clutch cover for an 07

3) Clutch cover for an 041 FB

I have cash, PayPal, and some parts to trade. Nothing has to be pretty as the saws have all seen some real service.

Cover for the 07 or wrap handle for it. But lots of 041 parts and the 040 will be

Phase 2 is making some progress recently. I was able to use my Struck mini dozer to place 5 truck loads of sand trying to get the site leveled and up to grade.





After a little hand work, the foam was down in anticipation of the PEX tubing for radiant floor heat.



Tubing was almost completed yesterday.

I've also been getting some saws cleaned up for the display.

Stihl 030AV



Stihl 031AV This one really cleaned up well so I went with a NOS bar & chain.



Stihl 040 is only needing some starter parts.



Stihl 041 FB - Thanks again to Jay Hansen for the clutch cover.



The Stihl S10 was the first one of the batch from Chris that I cleaned up. Remarkably well built saw. I even have NOS Stihl branded .404 .050 chain on a few of these thank to singinwoodwackr.

There’s a reason the 08/s10 family of saws ran from about 1960-till in the 90’s than after that as the ts 350 and lesser extent as the ts 360 using the 08/ts 350 as a starting point.

Rebar, contractor took care of it. I probably didn't have enough old chain around to do the job anyway.

Slab has been done for almost 2 weeks, contractor stopped by yesterday to let me know he plans on starting the framing next week.



Meanwhile, saws for the display are beginning to pile up...

This 07 is the last of the Stihl saws that Lehman Live Edge left for me in March.

The city is also in the process of replacing the utility pole in the alley at the end of my building(s).
