That's a very interesting looking saw. Makes me think that when I visit your museum, I am gonna ask how much each one weighs! Might save yourself some time and mark the weight on each identification tag you post - I think that it will be a popular question!

(P.S. - did McCulloch ever make ventilators?)

I cleaned up 8 of the 600 Series over the past few weeks including 605, 610, 650, 655, Timber Bear, Eager Beaver 3.4, Eager Beaver 3.7, and PM5700-20. I will try to remember to put up some photos when I get them into the display area. I already have the Silver Eagle 3420 and 3720 and a Brown Timber Bear as well as the 690 (cut off saw) on display.

If anyone knows of a 645 and a Super 610, I am missing those from the 600 Series line up.

I have been slacking a bit in terms of updating this post but I have been busy working on saws and cutting trees the past few weeks. I did work on the display in one corner a bit lately, the display racks came from a Stihl dealer that had passed away...his widow gave these to me and I am prepare a corner of the museum to feature his saws and materials. He had been a Homelite dealer before Stihl.

I have also been adding some saws and stuff in the display area. I put a string trimmer up above the door today but did not update the photos.

Lastly, I have almost completed getting my documentation organized and put away. The big empty space is for the McCulloch IPL's I have, but for now I am keeping them in the old shop as I continue to work over there most of the time.

I am open by appointment or chance...I only have 160 or saws in the display currently with a lot more needing a good cleaning before I move them over. Progress seems rather slow this summer with so many other things going on. Anyone is welcome to stop by most any time for a visit if you care to see a work in progress.

The shop is also coming along slowly. I am spending most of my "shop time" in the other place these days since I don't mind as much if it stays rather dirty working on old saws. The shelving on wheels is for "Saws for Sale" with the idea that I will roll them out the door on nice days when I am in the new building. I still need to move the machine tools, work bench, and my rolling tool boxes over as well as all of the saws and parts.

I have also set up some shelves in the attic to allow me to organize some parts and parts saws.

Looks like everything is really coming together and taking form. That display you have started in the corner already looks nice! If I ever make it out that way again i'm going to have to make the time for a stop!

I thought it was time to get things organized in the display area the way I want them moving forward. I started with the 10 Series line up. 4th row are all 82 cc models, the CP80DX is on the left end of the 2nd row. I have the 10 Series pretty well represented except for several of the gear drive saws (I only have a 2-10G and Super LG6). I would also like to find the 10 Series cut off saw.

I have some room for additional saws now...if I can ever make time to get more cleaned up and moved over.

On the recent trip to Oregon I picked up another McCulloch 170 Welder, this one came complete with the case for the leads and the rectifier to allow DC welding with the AC power supply. That is a moped engine McCulloch built for AMF just above the welder power unit.

I wanted to wrap the posts in the back with some rough sawn cedar to dress up the 6x6 posts that support the roof overhang. I decided to cut some wide dados in the cedar boards and added some slots in the mating pieces to create some simulated bore cuts to hand saws. I will leave some of these saws out since they are extras and beyond being rebuildable. I will drag a few more saws down from the attic for the other post.
