I am avoiding two man saws for now, just don't know how I'd find room to display them unless I started hanging them from the ceiling...

I have been continuing to work on sorting out bars and chains. I ended up building some long racks mounted up near the ceiling to get them out of the way and still on display (sort or).

I have a lot of 10 Series bars...

New and used bars of different descriptions for the large saws and some chain storage as well.

Some overflow bar storage.

Again the overflow bars with a better view of chain loops, some new, many used.

20200106_213117.jpg

One of the coolest bars I've uncovered so far, they went to great lengths on the etching on the bar.

Here's one you may not see again...Burns Penfield Rhino-Rail

I still have a large assortment of non-McCulloch branded bars for the 10 Series saws to get up.

I have a few NOS Homelite bars too.

20200106_213156.jpg

In addition to what you see here, I have an assortment of used mostly 10 Series bars and an array of used chains put up in the attic; everything from 1/4" pitch to 9/16" pitch. I have been very diligent to get the NOS bars identified and inventoried as much as possible so I can keep track of what I have and perhaps even sell a few to guys who need them.

Mark, on my mini macs and power mac 6's I have 10, 12, & 14 inch bars. All saws running 1/4 pitch spurs (8t). The 14 inch bars are Mac 6 hardnose and use 71dl and the 12 inch bars are McCulloch sprocket tip bars and use 64dl. For the 10 inch McCulloch hardnose bars (black with yellow McCulloch lettering)I don't have any chains short enough. I have some 58DL loops, but they are to long for the 10 inch bars. Wondering about 55DL or so for them? Maybe you have a reference on that? When I'm home later I can look up bar part number and post a picture of the smaller bars.

McCulloch Bar and Chain document says the 58 DL for for electric saws only, the Mini Mac uses 55 DL with that bar.

I think I now have all of the loose bars can chain loops put up on the walls. I still need to do a better job of organizing the chain in boxes but at least for now most everything is where you can find it if you need it.

20200111_172227.jpg

The mostly non-McCulloch bars have their own little section.

20200111_172248.jpg

Stop in some time and see the Halverson shock absorbing/self adjusting bar in person.

20190601_143926.jpg

I also have some Oregon 85 chain which is .404 "self sharpening" and some .404 Kolve style skip chain made in Canada. Still looking for a few small pieces of scratcher chains to work into the chain display.

I’m really anxious to see this museum this spring and also meet some more people from the forum in person. Already have had the pleasure of meeting a few guys at Scott’s when I tried how to demonstrate how to fly.
