Looking great Mark! lots of good looking yellow.
That’s quite the chain collection Mark. FWIW I gave Mark 3 loops of 1/2” chain at Randy’s GTG thinking it would help out. Lol. I had no idea....I have also moved most of my chain inventory over to the new shop. I still have a few more boxes of odds & ends in the attic as well as a large quantity of packaged, pre-made loops.

I put this piece on display yesterday after cleaning it up a bit and fixing the starter. I expect it could be made to run but I have better options so up it will go.

I also took a look at these today. McCulloch 170 welder(s).

The dirty looking one on the left starts and runs very nicely, one day I will plug the cables in and see if I can strike and maintain an arc. The cleaner looking one will be on display in the museum as early as tomorrow.
Even though the production run for the welders was relatively short, there were some significant changes made. Look at the covers on the back of the welder/generator for example.

One unit has a Tillotson HL, the other has the same carburetor as the BP-1.
I also moved another batch of bars and chains over today.

Bars get stupid heavy quick. But you don't need to have them all on display, or hanging on a wall. Maybe stacks of 5 to 10 would be manageable? Sort by mount / length / brand / etc. and slide into cubby hole style racks, that either have an address (linked to an inventory), or a place to mark the contents. If anyone out there has suggestions on how best to store/organize the bars so I can find one without having to dig through stacks and stacks I am all ears.
Are you wanting them for display or for sale? Awesome collection btw!I brought another lot of bars and chains over the other day as well.
