Buy an 880 ;)

I work on one for a tree service right regular. Have cleaned in the intake up on it, put the 088 intake on it, MS361 coil, 088 carb, etc. Honestly.. that saw does nothing for me. It's OK and I would like to run it with a chain I did as opposed to the tree service chains.. but with a 123 DL of .404 it just does not impress.

I’m kinda pissed my total light 24 is no longer cutting straight. Less hours on it than my boss’s sugi as well. Rail worn on one side more than other.

Knock down the rakers on the opposite side of the chain a little;)
I’ll try that next time or I’ll use it as a firewood bar. It’s worthless to me falling or bucking veneer now :(. Binds in the cut. Not exactly sure what caused it to do that... either the bar just was just wore out or it was something I did. Running a squeal (stihl:)), ES (I think it’s made in Germany) bar I had laying around. I actually like it, real nice bar. Strong 6 rivet tip and stiff.

Dress the rails with a rail dresser and put it back in service. Often over looked tool that isn't terribly expensive. I save lots of bars...

Bring it to gtg. I will bring my bar stuff. See if we can dress it and fix it up.
Thanks Jeff, I’ll take you up on that! I’m baffled because the bar is straight, no burrs. The chain does move more to one side of the rail than the other.

The only thing I can think of is if I threw a chain and it had burrs on the DL it might have fd up the bar rail inside. I’ve seen that happen to cheaper bars but these total bars should have a harder rail?

Lay it on a flat iron or surface and make sure it's not got a bit of tweak to it! It doesn't take much to cause problems! If you ever got it pinched check right where the tip fastens on for a tweak there! Or try a new chain and that will let you know if it's a bar or chain problem. Just my thoughts.
