I rebuilt a Stihl clamshell(can't remember model now), and the AMbearings failed on the very first cut, boy was I pissed, lesson learned!!!!

Usually on the clamshells you can pick up some really good quality aftermarket bearings at your local bearing supplier. Just google "bearing supplier near me" and you'd be surprised. I found out about a few suppliers I did not know were in this area.

Have you looked into your carb? A saw that has been run then parked for a while the diaphragms will get stiff. Do you run pump gas or fancy fuel from a can. If you are running pump gas you may want to check the inlet screen in the carb. Have seen then build up a white film that will impede fuel flow. You will need to shine a light from the back side to see it as it looks fine with out the light.

Hey thanks for that, I will be looking for places on the net here in just a bit.... that would be nice to find a local bearing supplier!!!!
