We used one in hollidaysburg a few weeks ago. Makes impossible trees a sinch if you have the room to set up

Are you working with Earnest? He's used one a few times IIRC, pretty amazing machine for sure....

That's my old Royer disc chipper, I still have my Morbark down for repairs.

That old chipper will rattle your bones but it gets the job done....

It’s my sons (18yrs) 1st day and 3rd tree, the biggest 18” . He didn’t want to do it but I walked him slowly through it.
Anyhow it made his day

Been working for him for near 13 years. Yep we used one in early March for a few jobs. Insane what you can do with them.

Always have, I was always told to have two sets of stackable wedges and a single spare when I was breaking in. The big 15” is great as a driver/sight gauge if needed.

2nd growth most likely. 120 growth rings and 20” diameter . A lot of the oak in that section was doubles. Sprouted from cut “old growth” stumps. Educated guess on my part. Part of the fun is the mystery.
