Once a logger, always a logger
My village of origin is like the Swiss Alps, full of firs
Been cutting since youth, my last time there was 2019 just before Covid-19

Traditionally once the Fir touches the ground we remove the bark, so the bacteria and warms cannot get into the wood
Difficult traditional way of making bread for the table
At least it made us strong men

Just finished this double pine today

This pine survived the recent fire and looked green but was full of resin trying to heal so finally went almost deadIMG_8185.jpegIMG_8186.jpegIMG_8189.jpegIMG_8192.jpegIMG_8195.jpeg

Very busy tree, live and dead limbs, the bigger ones were full of ants

Hell there were millions of ants at that tree, really confined space

This one had limbs touching the house ,so I set up a directional pulley and rope with a mini ex as my pulling power.
You know your pulling hard enough when the bore cut gets pinched! Haha had my helper let off and finished it from the backside.
Did a gap face cut.
Stihl 046 rebuilt, 28" full comp chisel chain.

Back when we build those things (don't know translation) to cut the water in the mountains from flooding cities after a huge fire at 2020

Believe it or not, i had to cut a tree coming out from the roof! The house was built around the that pine.

And it was a 3 piece exactly as Poseidon's Spear. Too bad i don't have enough pictures of that

Not sure if that pine or trying to understand what Biden actually trying to say is more difficult IMG_0762.jpegIMG_0761.jpeg

@Evansaw what kinda pine? Looks like what we have here in the desert. Aleppo or monterey?
hi

The name in latin is "pinus halepensis" and its a European- Mediterranean coast specimen of pine.
Very common to us, responsible for the huge fires or other disasters. Don't know if you have them in America

Not sure how you name this tree, it's growing fast and tall, but always the main wood becomes garbage

I was stupid enough to climb it and then we found out this

My partner gave it the finger

Well outside looks like a tree, but inside was just soilIMG_0743.jpegIMG_0742.jpeg

Another day of tree work at Arcole. We had a small tornado come through the SW corner of the property and tore up a lot of planted pines on one of the roads. Frustrating work! 1.5 hrs in and I had cleared about 40 yards down the road and I had enough of that for a while Peeled off for the NW corner where a big oak had come down on one of our roads. Put the 261 away and pulled out the Mastermind 462:

Phase 1 clean up:

Phase 2:

Main log cut up, road is driveable, When we can get a tractor out there we'll move these big pieces.

My next adventure
Power line and the apartments balconies while on the other heavier side the already screaming neighbours

Below some lemon and orange trees that a "lady" claims it her kids and should not be touched let alone damaged. It's also the period where lemons are already at the tree.

MAIN PROBLEM of my country, they put everything together, always at borderline with neighbours and NO SPACE

It's gonna be funIMG_8420.jpegIMG_8419.jpeg
