This sorta "kumbaya-ing" after a pissing match is rather nice to see. It's what separates OPE from AS, in my book.
Thing to remember about internet personality disputes - they will never amount to anything. Like the people that argue on Facebook - it goes nowhere
and they end up proving nothing. Plus - when you make snide or negative comments, or take jabs at one another, those comments remain and that's a
part of what you're remembered for. Do you want someone reading the forum in the future, seeing a bunch of trash you've talked?

Dignity and emotional composure are hallmarks of a strong, intelligent personality. I would highly suggest everyone remember that when they start
typing in the reply box.
Quite true, I try to always consider how my posts will reflect on me before I hit "Post Reply". I've made a few posts while I was still feeling bitter over things that I've later edited and asked other members to edit out quotes of those posts on another forum. The internet can and will use anything you've said against you, no matter how long ago you said it.

Edit function gets used too often by a few. The whole passive aggressive b.s. from a couple guys here is just too much. Say it, mean it, and back it is my belief. No need to edit if its how your truly feel.

Aside from that we all have some of the same interests or we would not be here. However, if a guy makes snide comments in a passive aggressive manner it should be of no surprise when he is called on it.. To end the cycle means either the instigator leaves or smartens up. Not sure the latter is even possible

10th floor, gotcha, sounds like it. Thanks

I'm not advocating it at all. I do it way too often in bursts... After some time a fella can somewhat pull one off lean but its not at all osha approved... Food for thought, tree can only set so tight before the kerf is closed. Power past that and your essentially bucking it off the stump... Fast and fun

I dropped a wacky twin twisted trunk white pine a year or so ago....

Wish I had a video of the "cone explosion" it was absolutely awesome....
Took my 12yo son with me he absolutely loved it untill we had to rake up all of them. [emoji3525]

Worse to be in them when they're like that .
Fun to watch them blow up.
First one wasn't leaning to bad to drop, but its different working by yourself than with others, some benefits to it though also.
This is the hard leaner and the one that was cut at about 12'.
Had to change my pull angle a bit on this one.
Oh I didn't read the first post so here's the saw used to drop them.

Dropped a small dead Ash for a friend's Daughter this morning. Only about 12", but near a house, and the drop (towards the woods) was not clear, so I tied it and cut the bottom off about 5 times before it was all on the ground.

Was still solid, so my friend got some good firewood out of it.

It won’t let me upload a video, but here it is beginning to go down. The base was partially rotted so it thought it was safer to partially cut it and then tip it with the loader where I had a canopy over me.

I was just helping on the ground. Very large oak tree hanging over two streets, two sets of wires, and the house.

Due to the wires being in the way, it was necessary to move the boom truck and approach some of it using a man basket hanging from the crane.

Checking loads and angles.

I thought I was going to have to take a ride in the basket when Erik nearly passed out from the heat around 4:00 PM. We decided it was a good time to clean off the street and call it a day instead.

Hopefully the project can be completed tomorrow. A lot of time is spent positioning equipment trying to reach everything while protecting the house and the wires.
