I cut the deflector off.....then drill holes in the corners. Connect the holes with a air saw......and then clean all that up. Make a new deflector.....and done.

Sounds simple huh? LOL

The new 572 muffler is quite easy to gut from the stock port openings for a basic muffler mod... compared to the old 562 and 550 style muffler which are a PIA imo. But if one wants to remove all the material for a deluxe muffler mod... the mastermind way is probably the way to go.

Recently tried that one 550 mark I, I will not be repeating that anytime soon! The baffle is curved and a real pain, just make another hole lower on the muffler and add another deflector.
