You have confused Aldi with Lidl. Admittedly, both chains originated in Germany.

Hence the exact same pricing & product offering.

There is no consumer "choice" when it comes to supermarkets.

Aldi and Lidl are two different discount chains. And to be more precise it's 3, because the Albrecht brothers split Aldi into two parts: north and south (they quarreled over cigarette sales). Both under the name Aldi exist at the same time only in Germany. In the US, Aldi Nord (north) operates as Aldi, while Aldi Süd (south) bought the Trader's Joe's chain.

Lidl was founded by Mr. Schwarz (still alive, ~45th on the list of the world's richest people). In addition to the Lidl discounts chain, his empire includes the Kaufland supermarket chain. Kaufland used to sell tools and power tools under a different brand name. This has now been unified in both chains to the Parkside brand, which was previously only in Lidl.

Aldi and Lidl/Kaufland (Schwarz Group) are fierce competitors. You won't find Parkside (power) tools in Aldi.

You’re likely correct. I shop at both pretty regularly

While I haven’t put them through heavy abuse, I have the Gear Wrench set of T handle Torx drivers and they have been solid so far. $16 for the set whether you buy them from Amazon or your local Home Depot.

I've got a complete set of Wiha tools they bought for me at work .Some of those robots etc. came with some really odd ball fasteners .I think the designers of ABB and Fanuc made them that way on purpose just to frustrate the tech that worked on them .

Their "official" tech will be supplied a fitting tool set , he don't care!

Anyone else will suddenly develop a vocabulary they did not know existed.

When I take something apart at work that is held together with oddball bolt heads - sharp chisel & hammer, throw those bolts into the scrap metal bin and utilize standard allen head 12.9 grade bolts.
NOW the official tech can scratch his head & cuss!!!
