Nice freebie Homelite XL-101. I was buying a 1943 Ford GPW Jeep today and while I was picking it up the owner let me look though an old falling down shed for some more treasures and I found this nice xl101 and a 16" Makita beam circular saw. The owner threw the saws and some other junk in for free on the Jeep deal. Not a bad day. Now I need to sell the xl101. It started with a little mix down the carb.

Edit: oops just realized I put this in the wrong section

Finally got around to building a "log catcher" for my splitter. A section of fence post, a piece of angle iron, my welder and and an hour of my time.

Man I should've done this year's ago, it's a real time/effort saver not having to bend over and pick up some of the bigger pieces multiple times. Not the prettiest or best thought out design but it is functional.

She wasnt very big. Didnt see a man around.
Saw only had a 22 in bar on it, been sittin a few years.
Did fire with 5 pulls.

Hey Studs...the labels are all rubbed off on the handle of both of these saws...how can I tell, whether it is an AV or Magnum?
